Great local version of the classic Mello Mushroom franchise. I miss our Baton Rouge location. The calzones and pizza by the slice as well as pizza pies are all great. This location has a near life-size bear carved statue. I recommend this!
Unfortunately, I didn’t catch the name of our server from last Saturday around 8:30 p.m.—she had brown hair pulled up and wore a yellow shirt I believe but I want to commend her for the outstanding service she provided. She was genuinely one of the friendliest and most attentive servers we've ever encountered. In a time when customer service often feels like a lost art, her warmth and professionalism truly stood out. Many restaurants could benefit from having team members like her.
Went in last weekend while it was really busy. We decided to sit at the bar and Kat was our bartender. The food was great but Kat was even better. I have been to Boone numerous times and Kat has given us the best service -- even while taking care of the entire bar and other tables. Thank you, Kat for your excellent service and recommendations! If you find yourself in Boone, go to Mellow Mushroom and ask for Kat!
It's been a long time since we've been to the MM in Boone, in fact, since it was at its previous location even! The modernized MM is lovely with great decor and still the good food we remember. Definitely get the unique pies to this location, including the Maui Wowie! We also enjoyed the Mighty Meaty. The Chopped salad was a hit for those looking for less calories or sodium content. The staff was friendly and attentive.
We visited Sunday afternoon, 7/14. The host, I didn't catch her name, was SO sweet. I had my 7 year old and infant with me (in a stroller), and she went above and beyond to get me in a booth, in the corner and out of the way. She also showed my 7 y/o where the bathroom was when I was walking him there with the baby, and she would keep an eye out for him in case he got turned around. Our server, Selena, was very attentive and patient and answered all of our questions. She was quick and prompt and had a pleasant attitude. The food was DELICIOUS! The oven baked wings, and the Marley (50th anniversary menu) was fresh. Everyone was so polite and respectful, and they looked like they genuinely enjoyed their job. We will definitely be back!
Traveling from OBX back to Michigan and stopped to stay in Boone for the night. We had tried Mellow Mushroom once before in TN on a previous trip and were impressed so we decided to try this one... 10/10! Service was fantastic as was the meaty thin crust pizza!
Cesar pizza is one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! Great service as well. It was apparent they were doing some renovations inside.
Great service! Our server was great tonight, attentive, ensuring we were satisfied with our food and our drinks were topped off. The appetizers and pizza were great. We got the Bruschetta and Spinach and Artichoke Dip for appetizers. They had so much flavor. The pizzas were nicely cooked.
